The Journey Team
Missions Pastor

Larry Blair

Larry and Dawn Blair came into The Journey Church Leadership team after twelve years of pastoring a nearby congregation in Orange County. They resigned to prepare themselves for the mission field to become church planters in the city of Tetovo, Macedonia. In that setting, they intend to plant the first Christian church in a city of more than 75,000 Albanian Muslims. While they were preparing for this new calling in their life, they have found a home with the Journey family and are leading us in becoming more involved in both local and global missions.

We are happy to report that are now residing in the country of Albania where they will be spending the remainder of 2017 learning the native tongue of the Albanian refugees who they will be ministering to in the country of Macedonia.

Below, is Larry's update on who and where they currently are:

Larry and Dawn Blair have been in ministry partnership for most of their 34+ years of marriage. They met and married in Midland, Texas after Larry graduated from Texas Tech University. After a satisfying career in the business world, Larry answered the call to the ministry in 2003. He served as pastor of a church in Orange County for 12 years, and Dawn has been equally busy serving in local ministry as an ESL teacher and missions coordinator. As a result of their involvement in a ministry to Arabic refugees in Anaheim, they are now preparing to go abroad and work with an unreached Muslim people group.  Larry and Dawn have three wonderful children, a great son-in-law and daughter-in-law, and four precious grandchildren that have captured their hearts.
